The Coastal Prairie Conservancy’s Community Engagement Policy:

We seek to develop an inclusive, welcoming organizational culture that respects diversity.  We seek to engage persons who are broadly representative of the Houston area, including members of communities interested in prairie conservation.  We seek to foster opportunities to connect local community and stakeholders with the Coastal Prairie Conservancy’s protected preserves, including hunters, conservationists, landowners, local residents, farmers, and developers.  We seek to develop a deeper understanding of the communities neighboring our preserves, and to communicate the Coastal Prairie Conservancy’s work, services and impact in a manner that resonates with and engages that community.  We will build relationships with community leaders and other stakeholders in the Coastal Prairie Conservancy preserve areas.
