Youth Waterfowl Hunt

KPC collaborates with Texas Wildlife Association and Texas Parks and Wildlife Department to ensure that the youth of Texas have the opportunity to participate in safe, legal, and fun hunting activities.  Participants also learn about the important role landowners and hunters play in wildlife conservation and land protection. This annual youth waterfowl hunt brings participants together from all over the region, and last year involved over 300 volunteer hours from dozens of individuals to create a successful hunting weekend for young people. In addition to an annual youth waterfowl hunt, KPC also provides public access on one of its properties for dove hunting.  KPC is currently working to expand this program to include duck and goose hunting, as our dove hunting preserve is currently the most heavily hunted public site in the state and we expect the waterfowl site to be popular as well.
