  • Land Trust Alliance - The Land Trust Alliance supports conservation in communities across the country by ensuring that people who work through voluntary land trust organizations have the information, skills, and resources they need to save land.

  • Legacy Land Trust - Encourages preservation of Houston-area bayous for use as parks, hike and bike trails, urban wildlife corridors, and stormwater management, and works for identification and recognition of the hazards of construction in floodplains.

  • Native Plant Society of Texas -  Promotes the conservation, research, and  utilization of the native plants and plant habitats of Texas, through education, outreach, and example.

  • Native Prairies Association of Texas - a non-profit membership  organization dedicated to the conservation, restoration, and appreciation of  native prairies in Texas and throughout the United States.

  • The Nature Conservancy - The Nature Conservancy preserves habitats and species by buying the lands and waters they need to survive. It  operates the largest private system of nature sanctuaries in the world--more than 1,500 preserves in the United States alone to safeguard imperiled species of plants and animals.

  • NatureViewing.com - NatureViewing.com offers hundreds of high-quality, short, wildlife videos featuring birds, insects (especially butterflies and dragonflies), reptiles, amphibians and mammals from the Western Hemisphere.

  • Natural Resources Conservation Service - The Natural Resources Conservation Service is a Federal agency that works in partnership with the American people to conserve and sustain our natural resources.

  • Northern Prairie Wildlife Research Center - Information on the ecological requirements for sustainable wildlife populations.  A good source of technical information and research findings concerning prairie ecology.

  • Scenic Texas, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and enhancement of the state´s visual environment.

  • Texas Environmental Coalition - A non-profit organization extending environmental information through modern technologies, with extensive list of Texas environmental resources.

  • Texas Land Trust Council - The TLTC provides resources to the more than 40 land trusts working in Texas to assist landowners with their long-term conservation goals. Provides the Texas Land Trust Directory to locate land trusts across Texas, a conservation easement handbook, an annual inventory of conserved lands in Texas, and a conservation information packet.

  • Texas Master Naturalists - A collaborative effort of the Texas Cooperative Extension and Texas Parks and Wildlife department. Their mission is to develop a corps of well-informed volunteers to provide education, outreach and service.
