Houston Women in the Environment: Inspiring Future Leaders with Stories from the Past

  • Heritage Society Tea Room 1100 Bagby Street Houston, TX 77002 (map)

The Katy Prairie Conservancy is proud to join Bayou Preservation Association, Buffalo Bayou Partnership, Citizens’ Environmental Coalition, Houston Audubon Society, and Memorial Park Conservancy to present Houston Women in the Environment as part of the Houston History Alliance's conference and fall programming.

This event is part of the Houston History Alliance's biennial conference, Houston Women: Agitating, Educating, Advocating. The Houston History Alliance has coordinated programs by compatible organizations to celebrate and tell the diverse stories of Houston’s trailblazing women. The programs, under the mantle of Tales of Houston Women, share the accomplishments – past, present and future – of women in the cultural arts, education, politics, environment, business, law, science, and more who put their indelible mark on the city of Houston. The conference is on October 6, 2018 and the Tales of Houston Women programming begins in mid-September and runs through mid-November.
