Each winter, the Katy Prairie becomes home to flocks of birds fleeing cooler climates for the season. Join Steve Gast, a member of KPC's board of directors, and Bob Honig, a member of the advisory board to see one of the most charismatic of these species, the sandhill crane, come in to roost on the prairie for the evening. Space is limited, so reserve your spot today! This will be our last guided chance to see the cranes this year.
Meet at 4 pm at the Indiangrass Preserve Field Office. The group will be leaving promptly at 4:15 pm and the gate to Indiangrass Preserve will be closed at that time.
*Note: if you previously attended one of the sandhill crane events this year, please allow others who did not the chance to register for this event. You may email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have already attended but would like to be notified if there are open spots the week of the event.*
