Wild West Tour: Predator Prowl
Friday, November 11

Wild West Tours are a great way to get an up-close look at some of the best places and wildlife that the Katy Prairie has to offer. These adventures are led by well-known local naturalist Glenn Olsen, an expert in local ecology who knows lots about local birds and native plants.

Join Glenn on a exciting journey in search of some of the predators that call the prairie home. We'll be on the hunt for coyotes, bobcats, raccoons, etc. that stalk the evening prairie looking for prey. Glenn will set up photographic blinds on a rarely visited preserved and will attempt to call in predators using special whistle - you just have to snap the photos!

About your guide: Glenn Olsen has had a passionate interest in nature, especially birds, since early childhood. He offers birding and nature classes through our area including at Rice University's Glasscock School of Continuing Education. Glenn has served as State President of Native Plant Society of Texas and also served as Houston Audubon's vice president of education. He has led Wild West Tours for KPC for three years.
